About Change the World U
We are a group of Internet marketers who teach people how to earn income in the niche they love and support Non-profits in the process.

Steve has spent the last decade working online, creating content, doing research and searching for linking partners for some of the top names in the Internet Marketing world and then owning his own Internet Marketing firm.
3 years ago Steve became disillusioned with the Internet Marketing world and decided to do something more meaningful which could help others help themselves and make the world a better place. Steve began volunteering his Internet Marketing services to the Food for Everyone Foundation, Steve has helped increase traffic, sales, and was responsible for the creation of the FFEF Clickbank affiliate program.
In an effort to help others learn to work from home Steve created ChangetheworldU.com CTWU is an ever growing website where both Steve and select experts teach people to build there own business online while helping a Non-Profit within their niche. Steve has habit of reminding people there is no “magic lightswitch” to online success, however if you follow the CTWU blueprint you can succeed.
INTERVIEW OF STEVE MISTRETTA, Introduction to Change The World U (CTWU)
SH: Well hello, and welcome everyone to Change The World U As We Speak, the podcast series
dedicated to helping people help other people by helping themselves. My name is Scott
Hansen, and with me here today is Steve Mistretta.
SM: Thank you, Scott, thank you for the invitation for the interview.
INTRODUCTION TO CTWU
SH: OK. And Steve has created a rather unique website and organization called,
ChangeTheWorldU.com. So Steve, will you tell us just what is CTWU and why did you create it?
SM: Well CTWU, Scott, is a website designed to teach people how to help themselves while helping others, and what we are going to do is teach people the basics right up to the advanced levels of internet marketing and how they can apply those techniques to earn income
themselves and also support their favorite nonprofit.
SH: Well that sounds great. So can you tell us just what experience you have with Internet
marketing?
SM: Well for about a decade now, I’ve been doing Internet marketing, doing a lot of pro bono work for nonprofits and I have also have been a ghost writer for a lot of top Internet
marketers around the world as well as helping people develop links to their websites to help
them get high up in the search engine rankings.
SH: Oh I see. So why do you think that everyone who is able should help a nonprofit?
WHY HELP NONPROFITS?
SM: Well, first it’s morally correct. It’s the right thing to do. I believe strongly in the saying, the theory of casting your bread upon the waters. My experience is that it
comes back more than tenfold, and it is a wonderful feeling to help people, and it’s
something that money can’t buy. So we’re real excited to teach millions of people around
the world how to help themselves and help their favorite nonprofit.
SH: Ok. Well it sounds wonderful, at least in theory. Why is the Internet the ideal way
to do that?
POTENTIAL OF THE INTERNET
SM: It’s because the Internet is the easiest form of communication available. There’s also
many, many free Internet marketing tools that from a beginner to advanced can use to market
not only their own business, but also at the same time assist their favorite nonprofits, and
we will be covering each of those marketing techniques, both on CTWU and in future podcasts.
SH: I see. So you say this is about helping others by helping ourselves. How does helping
ourselves figure in here? Can we learn to make for profit income by helping out a
nonprofit?
SM: It’s one piece of the puzzle. I think that people first and foremost do need to pay
their bills, Scott. So we are teaching people how to make an income at home and also at the
same time also support their favorite nonprofit. But we realize that people do need to pay
their bills, so that is a major focus of CTWU also.
SH: OK. Well there’s no 2 ways about it. Many more people are becoming self-employed, as
it were, these days, and more faith in oneself than in companies is what you often hear.
What about the for profit companies, though, why should they be interested in helping a
nonprofit, especially in these times?
HELP A NONPROFIT IN TOUGH TIMES?
SM: Well there is an immediate increase in the trust level from the new viewer of the co
and trust is really a major part of the Internet, success on the Internet. So it goes hand
in hand. By helping a nonprofit, you are showing potential clients and customers that it is
not all about almighty dollar for you. You also realize you have a moral responsibility to
help others.
SH: Ok. I see. Well let’s play let’s pretend a little bit here. I’m a total newbie, and
I just created a company selling left-handed widgets, and I find CTWU on my Internet screen
here, so how are you going to help me to help others while helping myself?
GETTING STARTED
SM: Well first of all, we are going to give you and explain in an easy to understand
format, how to apply all of the marketing techniques to your own business, so you can start
generating revenue. We’re also going to teach people how to use different charitable
programs that exist on the Internet, so that their efforts will not only help them help
themselves, it will also help them to help their given nonprofits of choice.
SH: Ok. That makes good sense. Can you just briefly tell us, what types of Internet
marketing tools that you can help me to use?
INTERNET MARKETING TOOLS
SM: Certainly. We are going to start everything off with the foundation of the Internet,
and that is content, and content consists of keywords, so that is going to be our first
lesson, is how to select the proper keywords for your website, and then we are going to go
through each of the different marketing tools you can use. A quick example would be Squidoo
or MySpace. YouTube is another great example. All of these techniques will help drive
traffic to your site that, in turn, will help your earn income and therefore be able to also
assist the nonprofits of your choice.
SH: OK. Sounds good to me. As we go along, will you be able to show real world examples of
how people are successfully putting all of these tools to work, or is this all just theory
or a book you wrote?
WORKING EXAMPLES
SM: Absolutely, we will show live working examples that we have already created and that
are currently helping the Food For Everyone Foundation, and I think that is a really key
part of CTWU. So people can actually go and see a live working example, and we will break
each example down into an easy-to-understand quick-start guide so they can apply it
immediately to their own business.
SH: Ok. So presuming that I’ve worked with you a little bit, and we’ve studied some
keywords, and now we’ve got a great looking website up for left-handed widgets, how can I
apply these techniques and match left-handed widgets up with the right kind of nonprofit and
put all of this to good use?
LISTING OF NONPROFITS
SM: Well certainly we’re going to list various nonprofits on CTWU. We are also going to do
a lesson on how to find a nonprofit within your given industry or niche, and if people are
still having trouble finding a nonprofit, certainly we would be happy to assist them in that
search.
SH: Ok. So anyone else that is interested here would want to become a member of CTWU, how
do they do that?
MEMBERSHIP IN CTWU
SM: Currently, the info is free of charge, and we will always have clear information for a
brand new person on the Internet to go step-by-step and use each of the marketing tools. We
do plan in the Spring 2010 to launch a membership site that people can join, but our #1 primary
mission is to provide good solid information free of charge, so that anyone can come to CTWU
and not only start changing their lives for the better, but also some nonprofits of their
choice.
SH: Ok. Well that’s great, Steve. I want to say thanks for telling us all about your project here today. Are there any closing thoughts you would like to share with our
listeners?
WHAT WOULD YOU LOVE TO DO?
SM: Sure. I’d like everybody listening to look inside themselves and really search for
what it is that you love to do. From there, you can then build your website and then select
a nonprofit to help. Perhaps I can’t express the feeling, but it just feels great to help
other people, and you’re helping to make the world a better place and a better place for
future generations, so we see this as being multigenerational, something that parents can
pass down to their children, their grandchildren and their great grandchildren, and we want
to do our part to make the world a better place. So thank you very much for the opportunity
of the interview, Scott.
SH: Ok. Well thank you very much for coming by today, Steve. This has been CTWU As We
Speak, the podcast series dedicated to helping people to help other people by helping
themselves. My name is Scott Hansen, it has been my pleasure to host the show for you
today, and on behalf of myself and Steve Mistretta, I would like to wish you a very good
day. Be well, everyone.
